Camp Sagawau is the only canyon in Cook County, and this outing offers the only way to see it - on a tour guided by Cook County Forest Preserve staff. Bring your own brunch and meet at 10:45. Tour begins at noon and lasts about 2 hours. Be prepared to get your feet wet as spots in the canyon may be knee deep. |
Participants must be approved by the leader in advance. Sign the
Liability
Waiver and pay cash or a check to Sierra Club at the trailhead. Beverages
provided. Carpooling encouraged.
After the tour, consider taking a hike on your own in another part of the Palos Preserves, the largest combined forest preserve in Cook County. |
