Water-shoes, synthetic pants, hat brown bag brunch. $3

Camp Sagawau is the only canyon in Cook County, and this outing offers the only way to see it - on a tour guided by Cook County Forest Preserve staff. Bring your own brunch and meet at 10:45. Tour begins at noon and lasts about 2 hours. Be prepared to get your feet wet as spots in the canyon may be knee deep.

Participants must be approved by the leader in advance. Sign the Liability Waiver and pay cash or a check to Sierra Club at the trailhead. Beverages provided. Carpooling encouraged.

After the tour, consider taking a hike on your own in another part of the Palos Preserves, the largest combined forest preserve in Cook County.
