Illinois Legislation
The Sierra Club has endorsed Tim Bagwell in the race for State Representative of the 19th Legislative District. His opponent, John Shimkus, carries a score of 10% in the League Of Conservation Voters' Scorecard. We think this is unacceptable and it is time for a change. Our environment deserves better. We are concerned there won't be a healthy environment left for our descendents.
Tim Bagwell believes in:
- Turning around Bush initiatives against forests, wetlands, and ANWAR
- Preservation of the Shawnee National Forest
- Wilderness designations in Illinois, especially southern Illinois
- Supports "polluter-pays" fees
- Supports Kyoto protocols
On a personal level, Tim has designed, developed, and programmed a "mini" laboratory and information system for the American Bottoms Regional Waste Water Treatment facility.
