• operate a solar education booth with many children's experiments
• help set up the booths for the day - be a "gopher"
• man the volunteer check in booth (sign in sheets, hand out water bottles, direct them to proper location)
• be in charge of/help out at a river education booth that focuses on a Japanese fine art skill, called gyotaku
• help out at a booth for an organic children's garden where they will help youth do earth-friendly crafts
• go out in a boat with the Army Corps of Engineers to pick up litter along the riverbanks (needed after the flooding!)
• man the refuse stations at the festival. We will have three barrels: trash, recyclables, and compostable materials. We would like to staff the stations with a volunteer in order to educate the public about what materials are recyclable & compostable
• help take the booths apart at the end of the day - be a "gopher"
