Description: Join us for a day of cross-country skiing at Lapham Peak in South Kettle Moraine State Forest near Delafield, WI. Only about a 90-minute drive from the Chicago area, this is one of the top cross-country ski areas in southern Wisconsin! The park has 17 miles of loop trails and hills of varying degrees of difficulty best enjoyed by intermediate to advanced cross country skiers. In addition, the park has two heated shelters with indoor toilets. After the outing, everyone is welcome to join the trip leaders at the Delefield Brewhaus for dinner and drinks. To register for the trip, call the leader, Rick Szafarz or send him an email at rszafarz@comcast.net. The co-leader is Scott Eteinne. There is a limit of 20 participants. The cost of $10 includes state trail pass, hot drinks, and snacks. This is NOT a hiking trip! Please do not call inquiring about hiking on this outing.
Note: The park admission sticker is an extra cost ($10 per vehicle).
