Description: Join us in early November for an exciting nature adventure to see the migrating sandhill cranes & other migratory birds as they wing their way through northwestern Indiana. We will start our Saturday with guided shorebird-watching hikes in the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore area, have lunch on the beach, and learn about the sandhill cranes and the Fall migration. We will then drive 45 minutes south to the Jasper-Pulaski State Fish & Wildlife Area in the afternoon to watch as thousands of sandhill cranes return at dusk to bed down for the night. For those interested and able to stay, we may have dinner at a local restaurant. Fee: $5. Co-Leaders: Floyd Bednarz & Catherine Bogacz. Sign-ups taken until Nov. 6th.
