Last summer, manufacturers recalled millions of toys because of dangerous lead paint, but lead is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to toxics in children’s products. Lead and other chemicals—linked to reproductive problems, learning disabilities, hormone disruption, and cancer—are in everything from baby shampoo to children’s jewelry and toys.
