Volunteers needed for annual squeeze

Each summer, members of the Kaskaskia Group help out with the lemonade fundraising project coordinated by the Eastern Missouri Group of the Sierra Club. The 2006 schedule will be a little different than years past, but it promises even more fun, and best of all - more funds. Here's the scoop… Fair St. Louis has been reduced to a one and a half day event: July 1 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and July 4 from 5 to 10 p.m. We will have just one booth, and it will be on "Eats Bridge" among the various restaurants on the Eads Bridge. In addition to selling lemonade, we are selling our Mardi Gras margaritas and hurricanes. And, we will continue the same Eads Bridge single-booth operation throughout the five consecutive weekends (Fridays and Saturdays, 5 to 10 p.m.) of the Live on the Levee concert series which begins July 14.
