The Eagle View Group provides maps to help visitors visualize geography of importance: locations of Sierra Club outing adventures, public meeting venues, and the locales of environmental significance to the community,

Eagle View Inventory of Google Maps  (.kmz  Placemarks) : [Your suggestions are welcome]

  1. Proposed location for Contained Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) in Barstow, IL

  2. 30+ parks and recreation sites in the Quad Cities area:    Iowa     Illinois

  3. Get Outdoors with the Sierra Club Outings Program  (Under construction)

  4. Location of Eagle View Group's Monthly Meeting  (Bettendorf Public Library)

You can view locations with any computer by clicking on the provided locations. To have a far richer interactive experience, we recommend that you install and use free Google Earth software.

Google Earth enables users to virtually go anywhere on the planet and see places in photographic detail. This is not like any map you have ever seen. This is a 3D model of the real world, based on real satellite images combined with maps, guides to restaurants, hotels, entertainment, businesses and more. You can zoom from space to street level instantly and then pan or jump from place to place, city to city, even country to country.

Once installed, you can double-click on any Google "placemark" links and it will "fly" you to the location.  The software is available for FREE at http://earth.google.com.
