of the Wilderness Act … Go Wild!
7th is the 50th anniversary date of the Wilderness Act. Sierra
Club is celebrating the event
by encouraging chapters and groups to have outings during the month
of September. The date for the
Eagle View Group Outing is Sunday, September 7, 2 pm, at Wildcat
Den State park a few miles east of Muscatine. We will gather at the old mill
bridge and have a short discussion on the importance of wilderness and
then hike some of the trails in this very scenic park. For those who can't
be with us, we hope you will be able to experience the wild by going for a
walk, bike ride or even enjoy a view from a park bench! This outing will happen rain or
shine so dress for the weather and bring water and insect repellant.
Please contact Jerry Neff (563) 332 5373 if you plan on attending or have
