Beaubien Woods Forest Preserve (Forest Preserve District of Cook County)

The first Saturday of every month, 9:00 a.m. - Noon

Beaubien Woods Forest Preserve [Take the Bishop Ford (94) south to the "Beaubien Woods" Exit (#69), just south of the 130th Street exit; Chicago, IL Follow the signs to meet at the picnic pavilion on Flatfoot Lake.]

Join others to learn about nature and help restore a beautiful prairie!
Interest is growing in this incredible Cook County forest preserve, and now is the time to get involved! People of all ages and abilities are invited to join others in removing invasive species at this important prairie remnant. We'll also enjoy a nature walk, learn about local ecosystems and identifying plants, hear stories from the Underground Railroad and warm our hands around a bonfire. Event occurs rain or sign. Dress to work outdoors.
