Endorsement Events

We work hard to get Springfield to protect the environment and grow clean energy in Illinois. We know, better than anyone, how badly we need more leaders who care about the things we care about - protecting Illinois' last wild places, cutting pollution, and moving beyond coal to Illinois wind and solar.

In the next four weeks, we can do a lot to make the next four years much more productive for environmental advocates in Springfield and Washington. New studies show that the environment is the sleeper issue of the election. Among undecided voters - the people who can swing this election - 61 percent say that where a candidate stands on climate will be a top factor in their vote. This is big. Cutting through the noise and talking directly to undecided voters about climate is how we will win in November. The Sierra Club is uniquely poised to make a difference - and our members are our key strength.

Every weekend day between now and Election Day, environmentalists will be showing up to help those who will help us, a lot, if they win their close races November 6th. We'll talk about the issues, and have the chance to hear how voters are thinking about them. I hope you can join us for at least one of these environmental action days.
