LAND BETWEEN THE LAKES UPDATE

The November-December issue of Audubon had an excellent article about Land Between the Lakes. There is a lot of concern about the future management and potential commercialization of this are, an area that was to remain forever uncommercialized when the land was acquired by the Tennessee Valley Authority in the mid-1960's to mid-1970's. The Shawnee Group of the Sierra Club will be making an action recommendation to members soon with a special mailing.

CALENDAR SALES

Thanks to all of you who bought calendars for yourselves or as gifts. Shawnee Group raised over $700.00. Unsold calendars will be donated to local schools.
