Illinois Chapter ExCom Meeting
While most of our group members were off canoeing and hiking, members of the Illinois Chapter ExCom met in the dining hall of Camp Ouatoga.

Having Fun!
An intrepid group of adventurers prepares to set out for a float in the scenic wetlands of Calhoun Point. If anyone looks nervous, it's because we have just learned that duck hunters will be shooting from the nearby duck blinds.
The weekend event was a great place for fellowship, outdoor activities, and interesting conversation.

The Big Feast
Chef Dave Wiseman applies his culinary talents to the cooking of the main course.
Cooking for more than 60 people took a lot of cooperation and almost everyone helped out.
Rich Keating and Jennifer and Wayne Politsch discuss some weighty issues before dinner.
Former restaurant owners Bob and Dorothy Metzger stepped in at the last minute to help with the cooking and cleanup effort.

The Cleanup
After a delicious meal it was time for the cleanup. Washing dishes for 60 people is a big job and was accomplished with a lot of volunteer labor.  The kitchen was a scene of organized chaos as everyone pitched in to get the job done.

Red Cedar Circle

After the meal, everyone participated in an American-Indian ritual held by the Red Cedar Circle from SIU. It included drumming, singing, and storytelling.
