Photo GalleryThe Second Annual Mississippi Earthtones Festival saw 500+ participants. The event was part of Lt. Governor's It's Our River Day's celebration of Illinois watersheds through education, recreation and conservation. Kids of all ages learned about native plants and animals, had an opportunity to address threats to ecosystem health and helped to protect the history and culture of life on the river. Other activities include live folk and rock music, a “River Art” village, plein-air contest, food and craft vendors, and bike rides. The river litter clean-up is postponed to Nov. 8th due to high water.
